1.] Why did you choose this muse to rp as?

Honestly? I picked Garnet because I’d seen a lot of Pearl (who is my favorite Gem, dont judge me) and I felt like I’d be intimidated taking on a muse that had so many more skilled writers and established blogs. 

Even still with Garnet I see all of these other wonderful Garnets on my dash and I feel like running and hiding forever lmao

--[ Life Upd8 stuff, mostly for people waiting on threads Under the cut so I don’t clutter dashboards

There’s been a lot of stuff piling up offline lately and it’s making it hard to sit and focus on writing. My Muse for Garnet is here, but my actual ability to sit and write for her is the problem.

Lots of stressful things happening, plus having a House Guest, plus having Art Commissions I need to get finished on an ever-approaching deadline. That all being said, I’m going to try to work on my Drafts and get things pumped out.

This does mean that I’ll be picking which threads I reply to based on how quickly the response comes to me, so please try to understand if I reply to ‘newer’ threads before replying to yours. There’s a certain level of skill I like to have present in my posts and I don’t want to give you something sub-par because I’m just not feeling that particular thread at the moment.

I love all you guys and I hope you can all understand <3

So! If any of my followers have seen, I recently went to Northwest Fan Fest (which I’d like to say was an awesome time, probably the best con I’ve been to and I’ve been going for several years!)

I’ll slap it all under a Readmore just so I don’t clutter the dash, but I wanted to say that I am exhausted from walking around and rushing between panels. I’m going to try and work on Drafts tonight, but I might not get anything done until Tomorrow. Apologies.

The con, by any means, was very... small. It wasn’t entirely well organized, and the Dealer’s room didn’t really have too much in it, but somehow me and my partner managed to spend about $600 this weekend so it must’ve been a little enticing!

The first day was boiling outside and the center didn’t really have too much A/C unless you were in a panel, but that’s par for the course at conventions out here so we werent too bummed out from it.

We met up with a bunch of ppl we haven’t seen in person for a year or two, which was great, and my Partner found herself an Oddish Plushie; something she’s wanted since before Grade 7 (and she’s 22 now)

We went to a Muggle Quiddich panel, where we might be joining the Vancouver Vipertooths. We also went to a panel on Paranormal Investigators, and may be joining the Coldspotters, too.

All-in-all, we’ve discovered things we’ll do outside of the Con, which is good b/c we’re at home most of the time when my partner’s not working. Might be good for us to get out and do some nerdy fun activities every once in a while!

My partner got tons of pictures taken of her cosplay the first two days, and then compliments on her final day; but everyone else in the fandom she was cosplaying from was intimidated and convinced she was going to be elitist b/c she was too on-point. A few people eluded to being intimidated and another few were saying things like ‘oh and she’s nice too!’ on their way away from the photo lol

We also went to the after-party, which turned out to be a burlesque show unbeknownst to us. We made friends with someone who was very nervous and shy, and then later after an hour of drinking, she whisked us away to the VIP room which was intense. 

All-in-all, it was a good con. I’ll probably post some pictures later this week! I definitely want to post the adorable Amethyst, Pearl, Rose, and Sapphire we ran into!
